kickboxer going pro (ufc)?
im taking kickboxing classes this Christmas and some during the summer. if i work very hard in kickboxing, working out, eating right, etc. what are the chances of me going pro to the ufc? also, how much does the ufc pay per fight when you win? what else should i learn if i were to ever go into the ufc, bjj, mma, or jujitsu.
Your chances are none.
To get a contract in the UFC, you need a good record in the sport of MMA (mixed martial arts)., which you have none. Basically it’s like you want to apply for a high-paying job without having a resume.
UFC is notorious for paying low wages, when you start you get about $2000 per fight, and a bonus if you get fight of the night, submission of the night, or knockout of the night.
You’d need to learn striking and grappling
Suggestions:
For striking: Kyokushin Karate, boxing, Muay Thai, sanshou
For grappling: judo, Brazilian Jujitsu, wrestling.
For a mix of grappling and striking: shidokan karate, combat sambo.
