What is the best way to speed up my metabolism for Weight Loss?
I’m currently deployed right now working the night shift from 3PM until midnight. So I really only have time for two meals a day at the most. I working hard to Lose Weight while I’m here and to get my body into shape. I currently run about 5 miles everyday on a cross trainer and work on my abs, bu the last thing I want is to lose the weight, only to have it sky rocket back up once I get home because my body isn’t used to having three meals a day.
Get on Biotin and Niacin. It speeds up your metabolism. All of the B vitamins will work. Cayenne Fruit is good too. I usually don’t take these-but when I do (three time a week) I have much more energy. Working the swing shift can be very hard on ones body as well. I used to do that and then I found out that is the worst shift anyone can work-since your body is trying to figure out what is going on. We are built to work during the daylight hours-orginally. Don’t eat anything 2 hours before you go to bed. Through that “don’t eat after 7pm bull****” out of the door. That only works if you go to bed REALLY early. Have more healthy snacks during your day (or night). Take an apple to work or an orange. Don’t eat 3 HUGE meals a day. Americans are accustumed to having HUGE meals and that is why most Americans are overweight and obese. Eat smaller portions and try to snack before you go to work. My mom works the same shift and she gets to bed around 12:30am and up at 8-9am. Try to eat breakfast everyday even if you are not a breakfast person. Eat whole grains too. Remember to “Shop the walls” when you go grocery shopping. Bread, fruit, veggies, milk, eggs, lunch meats, etc. Stay away from processed food like mac and chesse etc. Get enough sleep. It may be hard for you to keep up your metabolism if you are working the swing shift. Are you used to working the day shift? If yes, do your best to find a 1st shift job. Our bodies have a natural clock in them. I found out that 5-6am is the perfect time for me to wake up. If I sleep past that, I am sluggish all day long. Drink plenty of water. If you don’t like water- mix 1/2 water with 1/2 soda and slowly decrease the amount of soda in the water until you get used to water alone. Our cells in our bodies crave water and when they get it, you will feel a difference! Hope this helps!
