Ata Taekwondo
why do people diss the ATA (American Taekwondo Association) Why do people hate so much?

I am the ATA and I love it! I learned a lot.

What does not seem to realize it. you see things in perspective. you can not see that any otherwise. As you gain more experience you see things differently. but only if other things to compare. After the martial arts more than 42 years ago I participated in many arts. I hate to say this, but to ATA Mcdojo the worst that I've seen in person. There are many reasons, why I would not recommend it to anyone, here are some ATA: ATA * The ranks are not familiar with Korean ATA * The number of belts, striped, lines recommended (Mi the recommended ranking, anyway?) than necessary, and charge each. * No one should ever sign a contract with a black belt. But how exactly What the ATA does not. Not everyone is able to search for a legitimate black belt, but ATA hands them out like candy. * The ATA does not allow anyone to compete with non-ATA the races. * The ATA members to withhold the training or competing anywhere eels without ATA tournaments. * The ATA states that the teachers, to meet quotas. I mean that the instructor should encourage a minimum number of students through the organization. * The ATA prohibits this school offers something that ATA does not matter. * Of the ATA sometimes I need someone to move in the city, sdet up a school and sign up for the students. When the school receives enough students to pay the bills, the ATA to sell the school. The new owners are often not trained. Students are stuck in contracts and must pay, even if the drop in classes. A friend of mine knows the guy, it's a really good student of Tae Kwon Do and holds a legitimate fifth dan. He was an employee of the ATA to set up schools and then move to another town to start a new one. Quit because of the ATA in sales schools for the people that obviously are not qualified. * The ATA schools in each franchise, you should do what the ATA is telling them not to, or the risk of being sued in court. The contracts to be signed by an instructor to be an ATA instructor almost as bad as those to buy a house. * Charges Ata Black belt ranks, and the above is completely ridiculous. Often they are $ 500 first-degree black belt. * I ATA is a lot of schools. I have not seen one with an instructor close to a black belt. But often wear the ranks of masters and students ignorant to take. * There is no reasonable self-defense is taught. * The forms are stupid, and no other purpose than to keep the students forever. My suggestion to you is to go visit and train in other schools. Avoid belts contracts to sell, as they are also McDojo. ******************** Candle I would expect no less trash is someone that is obviously not an ATA martial arts. But I have a lot of experience, a lot of martial arts schools and organizations. I stick to my first comment. I do not trash other organizations, if there is no clear evidence that not legitimate. ATA is a scam from the beginning, and a waste of time, money, etc. … I'm sorry they are mistaken belief that the things they taught ATA is a real school. Norwood … I agree with you that ADHD kids need something to occupy the energy and keep them focused. My ADHD myself. I know as well as anyone how serious the physical activity can benefit children, especially those with ADHD. But the point is that the ATA is one of the con worst teams in the field of martial arts. I know that this is more than 42 years is heavily involved in the martial arts. not only students, but a full-time instructor for most of my life. I would not recommend the ATA to my worst enemy. find the same benefits as children, without the support of the fraud, such as the ATA. There are many here that long time martial artists, like myself. Some of these are: Shihan J, Scandal Sensei, Sifu, Frank, nwohioguy, Katana172, judomofo, mafundhelper, and others. I think that we all will agree with my statement.
