Can sports motorcycles carry luggage?
For example if i were to bring my clothes from home to college on a ninja zzr600. Is there any attachments or ways to bring a big bag or luggage? Can i use a shoulder bag? or duffel?
does the expander tail bag thing work?
Lots of options available
Tank bag (magnetic mounts to fuel tank) – not bad
Tail pack (straps to pillion/passenger seat – needs additional bungees to be full secure) – pretty good
Saddle bags (fits over pillion seat) – not my favourite choice as they can get screwed up/melted by the exhaust, and increases effective bike width which makes filtering/lane splitting more challenging
Rear Luggage Rack with Top Box – The sensible choice, but looks ugly
Back Pack – easiest & cheapest option, even at 130mph plus
My personal choice for long journeys (150 miles +) is the tail pack. Used to use it on my ZZR. Its fairly cheap to buy, and once secured firmly you can just forget about it and enjoy the ride. I find that back packs can become a bit of a pain in the butt on long journeys, eventually restricting the blood flow to the arms at high speeds, causing numbness in the fingers.
