Where to put spikes on track spikes.?

Well, I am a sophomore in high school planning to run the distance 1600m and the 3200m. I have a pair of Saucony Velocity 3 track spikes. My main concern is the positioning of the spikes on the spike plate.

Well personally i had my friends tell me that they don’t really use spikes for 3200m because it somehow messes up their pace, but for the 1600m some do use it and i think using all the spikes works but maybe its how you run is why your friend told you not to put one in the middle, i think the spikes without the middle will help you sprint but can maybe mess up your pace, but to be sure ask your coach as well because i am also a sophomore in track x]
