which will make me burn more calories? (jumping rope or treadmill)?
i find that when i do jumping rope at least 200 counts..i feel my heart pumping a lot and i perspire quite a lot too. but if i do treadmill.. it takes at least 20 mins before i sweat.
am i being superficial? looking only on the amount of sweat and my heart beat? or will i really burn more calories and therefore Lose Weight when doing jumping rope than if i run in the treadmill. the treadmill is manual so all the energy is from me and its upward slope.

I know for best result, i might as well combine the two. but if given time constrain or sometimes energy constrain, which will deliver better result? thanks!
Short answer is jump roping.
For a steady-state cardio workout like running it takes ~30+ mins while maintaining a Heart Rate of 60-65% of your maximum heart rate to obtain the full benefits of the workout, which is why you begin to sweat at around 20-min.
Jump roping gets your heart pumping faster than most cardio workouts because it is a full Body Workout.
When working out the key is quality over quantity; that is, your heart rate is your best gauge on how efficient a workout is. I suggest doing interval training (i.e. HIIT) with your Jump Rope. For example, do 30-45 sec of high intensity jumping followed by 20 sec of low intensity for recovery, and do this for 10-15 min. This kind of training will allow you to build lean muscle and burn fat/calores, and continue to do so 24-hr after your workout. Whereas, with stead-state cardio like jogging your calorie burning stops the instance your workout stops.
