How often should I change my pad on a heavy period?
How often should you change your pad when your period is VERY heavy? & What type of pad works the best when it is really heavy?
I guess it a personal choice. I get really heavy periods, even my obgyn has tried to get me on birth control but I don’t believe in taking pills that mess with your hormones unless it’s life or death. Pads don’t work for me at all. I always have accidents with pads. I’m very active and even with wings my pad doesn’t stay with me. I use tampons and a panty liner just in case. It works perfect for me.
Before I used tampons I was extremely paranoid and use to change my pad every hour to two hours. It can get expensive, and annoying but it’s worth not having an accident or ruin cute panties and pants.
I use Kotex with wings at night when im sleeping and not moving at all. I tried them all, and I think they are the best. They also come in cute cloth/fabric wrappers with flowers

If you try Tampons by the ones that expand like a flower to your body. The one’s that dont expand don’t really work. It just leaks right down.
