How To Exercise Efficiently – My Top 3 Tips
Exercise is the way to go no matter if you are looking to Build Muscle or lose fat. However, this is not just any exercise. Your exercise routine has to follow three major rules, and the point of this article is to uncover these three tips. So here they are:
Priniciple 1: Work Out with the right number of repetitions
A normal workout is composed of exercise blocks, which each consist of sets and repetitions. Therefore, the repetitions are the smallest building blocks of your routine, so it is only right that we start here. So what is the right number of repetitions?
You should do your reps slowly and deliberately with one repetitions taking from 5 to 7 seconds. In this way you are giving your muscles a really intense workout and in fact you are saving time, as you would not need that many exercises to exhaust your muscles. As to how many reps you should do per set, the answer is that you should exercise until muscular failure. You should aim to reach that muscular failure around 8-10 reps, so you should adjust your weight up or down if it does not fall into those numbers.
Principle 2: Work out with the right number of sets
Sets are made of reps, as you already understood. And sets themselves make up exercises with people usually doing three sets per exercise. In the subsequent paragraph, however, we will show how and why this strategy is not correct.
The reason that people need 3 sets of an exercise is because they simply do not do the exercise intensely. With this new system, however, you will be exercising slowly and deliberately and thus one set will give your a good enough workout not to need another set of the same exercise. Therefore, with one set only you will gain the effect of or even better of three sets. Sure, it might take longer than your usual set, as it is done slower, but you will feel the benefits really soon.
Principle 3: Work out with the right exercise routine
Now that we have covered reps and sets, it is time to move on to the type of exercises to do each time. There are two basic types of exercising – separating the muscles into body groups and thus exercising separate body groups every time or doing total workouts, exercising the Whole Body every time.
I am going to suggest that you follow the second way of exercising – the total workout method. Why? The so-called split routines can be very effective, but they have an inborn danger in them, and that is the danger of omitting the body groups you dislike doing from time to time and thus leading to irregular development of your body. With total body workouts this would never happen, and if they are done with the right reps and sets, as mentioned above, you will get exactly the workout your body needs to be challenged every single time.
