Daito Katana

whats the difference between a daito and a katana?
Katana – a general term for a sword with a curved blade around two to three shaku long, worn with the blade up in the obi.
Daito – General term for a long sword, and may be either a tachi or a katana. A sword must be over two shaku to qualify, but there is no maximum upper length specified.
