how do I decrease the cup size in a sewing pattern?
I am sewing a dress for my cousins wedding. I am using simplcity pattern 5052. I am a size 20, but I am only an A cup in the bust, as a I have a very broad back, how do I make it so I have less room in the front and more in the back?
I can’t find a photo of 5052, so I don’t know precisely what you’re working with. However, decreasing the cup size is the inverse of a large bust adjustment — you overlap instead of spread the pattern:

To increase the back, I’d use a seamline method of alteration:
